P.O.W.E.R. MENTOR PROGAM

Providing Opportunities Where Everyone Rises

is a high-impact mentoring program aimed at changing the trajectory of a youth's life by bridging the gap between young people's aspirations and the ability to succeed.

P.O.W.E.R. matches every scholar with a committed mentor.  But it doesn't stop there!  We believe in the power of continuous learning and growth which is why we're dedicated to providing valuable resources to our mentees.

We understand the importance of nurturing emotional intelligence, refining communication, leadership and self-discovery.  That's why our workshops also focus on these crucial soft skills that are essential for success.

The program is designed to provide a “continuum of care” that starts in middle school and supports students through high school graduation and beyond.

PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Jadora James

Jadora James is a dedicated leader and mentor, currently serving as the Program Coordinator for the E.Y.O. Inc. P.O.W.E.R. Mentor Program. She began her active involvement with the E.L.I.T.E. Youth Organization in 2020 as a volunteer for the inaugural Juneteenth Commemoration.

Jadora has been instrumental in shaping programs that uplift and inspire young people. Her commitment to youth development extends to her role as the junior coach for the East Coweta High School Basketball Cheer team, where she not only works with students but also choreographs dynamic routines for the varsity squad.

Beyond her work in schools, Jadora is deeply engaged in her community, actively participating in youth programs hosted by her church. Her passion for empowering the next generation is evident in everything she does. She believes that by nurturing and guiding young people, we can unlock their limitless potential and create a brighter future for all.

Jadora is driven by the belief that, as Mary McLeod Bethune wisely stated, "We have a powerful potential in our youth, and we must have the courage to change old ideas and practices so that we may direct their power toward good ends." Her work reflects this philosophy, as she tirelessly dedicates herself to making a lasting impact on the lives of the youth she serves.
